Cash or card for Koh Samui these days?

I’ll be visiting Koh Samui in February, returning after several years. Since my accommodation is already paid for, I’m wondering what’s more practical for day-to-day expenses — paying for meals, drinks, and activities with cash or using a card.

I’ll be staying in the Choeng Mon area and would like to know if there are ATMs conveniently available nearby, or if it’s better to bring a larger amount of cash.

Any recent experiences or advice on how payment methods are handled on the island would be appreciated.
