Frequently Asked Questions — Ao Nang to Koh Kradan
How do I get from Ao Nang to Koh Kradan?+
Two main ways work in 2026:
Pier-to-pier speedboat (Nopparat Thara Pier to Koh Kradan Beach): Bundhaya Speed Boat and Satun pakbara Speed Boat Club both run a 75-seat speedboat standard from Nopparat Thara Pier (the public pier at the west end of Ao Nang) to Koh Kradan Beach. The crossing takes about 3 hours 30 minutes and costs THB 1,900 per adult with either operator (THB 1,300 child), with up to 7 sailings weekly during the high season (November through April).
Door-to-door multi-leg combos: from any Ao Nang hotel you can take a 9–12 seat van plus a speedboat or longtail boat via a staging pier near Krabi. The cheapest in this category is the Kanab naam Tour van + longtail boat combo at THB 1,199 per adult, year-round. Satun pakbara also offers a van + speedboat + speedboat shape at THB 1,550 per adult during the high season. For a private vehicle, Smart En Plus rents a 8- or 9-seat van + longtail at THB 5,100–5,800 per vehicle.
Be aware that Koh Kradan does not have a pier — all boats land on the beach at the south end of the main bay (in front of Kradan Beach Resort). You will need to wade a few steps to shore.

Where does the boat drop off at Koh Kradan? Is there a pier?+
All boats to Koh Kradan land on Koh Kradan Beach, at the south end of the main bay (in front of Kradan Beach Resort). There is no formal pier on Koh Kradan — passengers transfer between the anchored speedboat and the beach by wading a few steps through shallow water.
Because of the beach landing, you should:
- Pack valuables, phone, passport and any electronics in a waterproof bag or dry sack. Your shoes and any low-placed bags will get wet during disembarkation.
- Wear sandals you can wade in. Barefoot, flip-flops, or strapped water shoes all work. Avoid expensive leather shoes.
- Arrive expecting short walks. Some resorts are a 5–20 minute walk along the beach from the landing point (Kradan Beach Resort is at the landing; Paradise Beach and Coral Beach are within walking distance; Sivalai far-end may require a longtail transfer for ฿200–500).
The pier-to-pier speedboats from Nopparat Thara Pier (Bundhaya and Satun pakbara) and the door-to-door multi-leg products all use the same beach landing. There are no entry fees or national park charges at Koh Kradan — Trang province does not levy the park fee that applies at Ao Nang or Koh Phi Phi.
