Koh Lipe→Khao Lak

The only scheduled service from Koh Lipe to Khao Lak is the daily JOIN multi-leg transfer, run by three SmartEnPlus operators: Smart En Plus, Kanab naam Tour, and SILAPHAT. You board a 45-47 seat speedboat at Koh Lipe Pattaya Beach at 09:30, transfer at Pak Bara Pier on the mainland, then continue by minivan via Trang or Krabi to Khao Lak Bus Stop, arriving around 18:30-19:00. The full journey is about 9 hours door-to-door and includes one transfer at Pak Bara Pier.

There is no direct ferry, train, or flight between Koh Lipe and Khao Lak. Khao Lak is on the mainland in Phang Nga Province, about 80 km north of Phuket. If you prefer a faster option, you can fly via Hat Yai (speedboat to Pak Bara + minivan to Hat Yai Airport + flight to Phuket + bus to Khao Lak), but this requires 4 or more separate bookings and is more expensive.

The SmartEnPlus fare for the Koh Lipe to Khao Lak multi-leg transfer starts at THB 1,600 per adult with Smart En Plus (the cheapest operator on SmartEnPlus). Kanab naam Tour and SILAPHAT both run the same route at THB 1,800 per adult. All three prices are for the full 3-leg journey: speedboat from Koh Lipe Pattaya Beach to Pak Bara Pier, minivan to Trang or Krabi, then minivan to Khao Lak Bus Stop. Child fares match adult fares (THB 1,600 with Smart En Plus, THB 1,800 with the others). Kanab naam Tour charges THB 600 for infants; Smart En Plus and SILAPHAT do not list a separate infant rate.

For comparison, third-party operator Kanab Naam Tour is available on 12go.asia from THB 1,140 (slightly cheaper but with separate booking and customer service). Booking each leg independently costs about THB 1,300-1,500 in total but requires three separate bookings and managing connections at Pak Bara yourself.

The minivan from Koh Lipe drops you at Khao Lak Bus Stop, the public bus stop in Khao Lak town in Phang Nga Province. This is the gateway to the Khao Lak beach chain, about 1 km from Bang Niang Beach and 2-3 km from Nang Thong Beach and the main Khao Lak town center. The SmartEnPlus product does not include any hotel drop-off, so you will need to walk or arrange a songthaew pickup from the bus stop to your accommodation.

Note: Khao Lak is often confused with Phuket, but they are different destinations. Khao Lak is on the mainland in Phang Nga Province, about 80 km north of Phuket, and is a 25-km string of four main beaches (Nang Thong, Bang Niang, Khuk Khak, Pakarang) along Highway 4. Most SmartEnPlus travelers stay in the Nang Thong or Bang Niang area, which is closest to the bus stop.
