The standard route is a shared speedboat from Pattaya Beach on Koh Lipe (beach landing — passengers wade into shallow water to board) to Pak Bara Pier in Satun province. SmartEnPlus lists five operators on this route: Baramee Speedboat, SILAPHAT, Marinee Travel, Smart En Plus, and Ploysiam Speedboat.
Daily departures year-round: 09:30, 11:30, 13:30. During high season (Oct 16 – May 31) a 4th afternoon sailing runs; during green season (Jun 1 – Oct 15) only 2 daily boats operate. For exclusive use, Ploysiam also offers private 3-engine (฿35,000) and 4-engine (฿40,000) speedboat charters.
The shared speedboat fare is ฿700 per adult across all five SmartEnPlus operators (children same price, infants free). All 10 shared contracts return the same flat rate.
Private speedboat charters are ฿35,000 for a 3-engine boat or ฿40,000 for a 4-engine boat (Ploysiam only) — priced per vehicle, not per passenger. Note that Tarutao National Park fees are extra: ฿200 per adult and ฿100 per child (ages 3–14) for non-Thai citizens, payable in cash at Pak Bara Pier.
The speedboat arrives at Pak Bara Pier (also spelled Pakbara Pier) in La-ngu district, Satun province. The pier is the main gateway to and from Koh Lipe and Koh Tarutao, with basic facilities (toilets, ticket counters, small shops, car park).
On arrival, disembark at the boat dock and proceed to the Tarutao National Park ticket counter to pay the park fee in cash before exiting. From Pak Bara Pier you can continue by minivan to Hat Yai (~3 hours, ฿250 JOIN VAN) or by taxi/private transfer to other mainland destinations.
